Friday Fact – Canine Sense of Smell

Depending on the breed, a dog’s sense of smell is about 1,000 to 10,000,000 times more sensitive than a human’s.  A human brain is about 10 times the size of a dog’s but the part of the brain that controls the sense of smell is about 40 times larger in dogs.
